Chemistry professor, College of Coastal Georgia
Colleen is an assistant professor of chemistry and chair of the department of Natural Science at the College of Coastal Georgia and is known by students and peers as a tech-savvy educator, utilizing tools such as animations, interactive slides, and lecture screencasts. She is a graduate of the University of West Georgia, obtaining a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and attended Emory University to obtain a Ph.D. in Biomolecular Chemistry. She currently teaches courses in general chemistry, allied health chemistry and biochemistry. She was recently selected as a Governor’s Teaching Fellow and plans to implement innovative teaching and learning techniques in her courses including working on new course materials to provide students with more economical materials in her upper level courses.
