James Ross is Associate Chemistry Professor at East Los Angeles College. James completed his B.S. and Ph.D. degree in chemistry at the Leverhulme Center for Innovative Catalysis at the University of Liverpool in Great Britain. Following nearly five years of postdoctoral research at the University of California, Davis in Biomedical Engineering, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston in Experimental Diagnostic Imaging, he transitioned to a teaching career. James received a cancer research award in 2006 and a science teaching award in 2007. He is a contributing author to the Top Hat General Chemistry text, sole author of an introductory chemistry primer text, and creator and author of the Kidprofessor science books for kids.
